A to Z Author Challenge- due May 26th

AMAZING AUTHORS A to Z Library Reading Challenge Welcome to the library reading challenge! This year, students will read books by 26 different authors with last names* beginning with each letter of the alphabet. Not only does this expose students to a variety of authors and illustrators, it also encourages reading across different genres (*For the letter X, they read an “eXtra” author of choice). Each student will keep track of the authors’ names of the books they read on the attached sheet.  Two separate book lists are included for lower and upper elementary. These lists are not meant to be exhaustive. There are more wonderful authors out there that are not listed. I will be pulling many books each week to give them ideas of what authors and books to read. I encourage students to read books at their reading level but they are welcome to add lower books as well. Here are some guidelines of incorporating picture/chapter books. K-1st: do as many picture books or chapt
